Thank you to parent Yolanda Davis-Overstreet for organizing our first Bike Clinic and Advocacy event on Wednesday! The event included a presentation by Safe Routes to School aimed at increasing awareness about our cross walk situation and pedestrian safety. Representatives from Multicultural Communities for Mobility and Unity Sports Cycling were also in attendance to share information on alternative forms of transportation. Many families took advantage of the bike clinic and received free tune ups from Ride on Co-Op, and two children’s bikes and several helmets were raffled at the end of the evening compliments of Senator Holly Mitchell’s office.
