UNDERSTANDING ADOLESCENTS, OR, THE TEEN BRAIN: IT'S JUST NOT GROWN UP YET

As kids reach the difficult teenage years, parenting takes on many new challenges.  It can be dumbfounding for many parents to try and understand the changes they see as their kids reach adolescence.  In this talk, Dr. Albert will present on what exactly is going on in the bodies and brains of adolescents and the implications of those changes.  The goal is to help parents raise resilient and healthy children.  The presentation will look inside the teen brain, at the biology of risk taking, the power of building character, and the changing role of parents.
