Bio
Sarah Barnett grew up in Northern California, where she was immersed in outdoor play, which led to a lifelong love of nature and the outdoors. Sarah’s family later relocated to Southern California, and she participated in a high school Education Academy, which combined child development coursework with a preschool internship, and student teaching. At UC Santa Cruz, Sarah completed a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and later went on to complete a multiple subject credential and a Master’s degree in Education at Antioch College in Los Angeles. After a few years in elementary education, she proceeded to get a single subject credential to teach science, from Cal State Northridge. Sarah has taught science for the past 11 years and is excited to continue to motivate students through inquiry and self discovery through science education.
