Yesenia Rodrigues has always been passionate about the arts, which led her to pursue a career to become an art teacher. Born and raised in Los Angeles, California. She grew up attending the local museums around her community and the outdoors with her family. Her passion for the arts led her to major in art education at Cal State LA where she studied different art mediums such as painting, ceramics, and photography. It was also during this time in her undergraduate studies she discovered that she wanted to become an art teacher to share that passion with students in her community. Ms.Rodrigues has been part of the New LA community for four years now where she teaches elementary and middle school art. Creating an inclusive art program where students can explore their creativity and express themselves through the visual arts. During her spare time she enjoys learning, painting, and discovering new places in Los Angeles.
