PLANNED PARENTHOOD SEXUAL EDUCATION
Seventh Grade students participate in a sexual education program facilitated by Planned Parenthood LA. The program includes six sessions and covers topics such as abstinence, communication and decision-making, puberty, healthy relationships, sexually transmitted infections, and the basics of contraception. The presentations are tailored for middle school students and are interactive and engaging. One of the main goals of the program is to help students build self-esteem and gain assertive skills necessary to guide them though the pressures of being a teenager. The program strives to provide medically accurate sexuality information that will aide teens in making healthy and responsible decisions.
