At the December 11, 2012 board meeting, the Los Angeles Unified School District board renewed New LA's charter for an additional 5-year term, through June 2018. In recommending approval, the LAUSD Charter Division was very impressed with the efforts we have made in our RTI and Enrichment program, OARS benchmarking, and the active, engaged classrooms at New LA. We're all very excited to continue our work as we move into the next five years, including curriculum reviews, continuing to focus on helping every single student, and promoting a positive school culture where students respect themselves and others. Thank you to all the faculty, students, and parents who participated in the renewal process.
