Preparing for High School

High School Information for Sixth and Seventh Grade Parents
Although high school is a year or so off, apply to eChoices this year to earn magnet points! You earn point for being declined, and many families apply to LACES for this purpose.

The eChoices Brochure is open!
Eighth Grade families may apply to a magnet high school program online at echoices.lausd.net. The deadline to apply is November 13. If you would like assistance with applying to eChoices, please contact the front office!

High School Counseling Meetings
Ms. Rios meets with every 8th grader to discuss high school options. Parents should contact Ms. Rios with any questions!

Letters of Recommendation and Transcript Requests
As application deadline approach, please drop off school forms at the front office with an addressed stamped envelope to the school’s admissions department. Recommendation forms will be distributed to teachers and administrators and will be mailed directly to the school.

Transcript requests should be forwarded to Karen Flores at [email protected]. PLEASE NOTE THAT TRANSCRIPT REQUESTS AND OTHER PAPERWORK WILL BE PROCESSED WITHIN THREE DAYS OF RECEIPT. We respectfully ask that you plan ahead.
